Green Lane - WWT 100-Acre
You can view the WWT 100-Acre from Green Lane. Green Lane is the L-shaped lane on this map. Park at the car park at Splatt Bridge. If you cannot park in the car park please park sensibly and with courtesy towards residents. For map click here.
Walk south down the towpath from Splatt Bridge, go past a reedbed on your right. Enter a small gate with a map just inside it to the right just after the reedbed. Walk across this field towards the river until you come to the obvious five-bar gate. Go through, then cross a second field until you again get to an obvious five-bar gate. Turn left, (there is no access to your right) you are now in Green Lane. There will be some pools on your right, then comes the 100-Acre. There is a five-bar gate you can view from, maybe 50 yards on is a second five-bar gate where the viewing platform is installed, which also gives good views. View only from the viewing platform or the viewing gate in Green Lane, there is strictly no unguided access to the fields. The field after the 100-Acre with the new channel running through it is the Bull Ground. PS the two pools on the map aren't there. Map Ref for WWT 100-Acre approx SO734059.
Saul Warth
It is best to park at Cadbury Bridge (now Pay and Display at all times), which is found by driving down The Perryway off of the A38 towards Frampton, go past the village on your left and it is the first canal bridge you come to. There is a small car park by the bridge (Frampton) and also off road parking. If you cannot park in the car park please park sensibly and with courtesy towards residents. Cross the bridge and walk south down the canal past Saul Lodge and past the five-bar gate opening into the fields. On your right just after this is a track up the bank through bushes and from the top of the bank you will be able to see the flashes approx SO744081. Please do not enter the fields.
